One of the best. I remember him appearing at a Radio Caroline event in 1987 when the station was still illegal. Never forgot his roots in offshore radio. Always tried to play the better music when he did his shows on the BBC. RIP.

Indeed. He was only diagnosed with PF earlier this year which is quite typical of how quick it kills. My mum was one of the (relatively) lucky ones who had it for the best part of 14 years before it killed her earlier this year.
