Is deleting all your tweets the same thing as deleting your account? If you delete your account, do the tweets still live on the internet somewhere?

i think the difference is if you keep your account, no one can take your username! your tweets are probably cached either way but deleting the account nukes everything.

I used this method too, though I had to download my archive twice to get it done, so the whole process took about a week and a half.

Considering finding a way to unfollow everyone if I ever feel tempted to log in again...
