Australians have a thing called long service leave. Kind of like a sabbatical with no work. My wife and I did lots of hikes, 8 countries, US route 66 and 10 US National Parks - what a fantastic system the US NPS is!!

Even though I’m not a pediatrician I might go with the PediCAP trial. Results presented at ECCMID Global (not sure published yet). A clever trial whose results will certainly change practice and save a lot of unnecessary AB use. But I’ll think of some others too.

You can start with BLINGIII and BALANCE etc, but this stewardship paper gets my vote. Real-world study looking at de-escalation in terms of spectrum score, demonstrating that narrowed spectrum at 72 hours reduces AMR. We knew, but now we have proof.
