Our taller dog got a nacho down from the counter and I walked in and caught him eating it politely with our smaller dog and we were so proud of their sweet collaboration that we forgot to get mad at them for doing all of this in the first place.

The other night I made a lovely apple tart. I left it on the kitchen counter to cool a bit. 1/2 hour later I discovered my smarty dogs had dragged the parchment paper it was on to the counter’s edge, dumped it on the floor and cleaned up the mess they made. All that was left was the parchment.
Stark contrast with cats - I once heard one of ours moaning aggressively to find he'd nicked a sausage from a neighbour's barbecue and was fiercely protecting his prey from the other one.
Tonight one of our cats snagged a gf/df mac n cheese noodle from my husband’s bowl when he got up to investigate the loss of internet for the tv. I couldn’t decide whether to be annoyed or proud!
Love this! I previously had a miniature poodle and a Chihuahua mix. The poodle was able to get on the table and would bring it down to share with the Chihuahua.
Reminds me of the time my simple dog stole a small bag of raw potatoes. My mom is telling me this story when simple dog comes in, drops off one of his stolen potatoes to share, and leaves
That is the sweetest thing. Our dogs would not share with each other. And one doesn’t even like treats but he takes it and holds on to it until after the others eat their treat. And then he sets it down in front of him waiting for one to try and take it. 🤣
In what we now refer to as "The Great Ham Caper of 2013," our cat jumped up on the kitchen counter where slices of ham were cooling when I'd stepped away for a minute. She grabbed a huge slice & dropped it over the side of the counter where our dog was waiting for it. They were partners in crime!
