This is a little Flying Saucer Ladybug (Anatis rathvani) hanging out on a big green Catalpa leaf! I noticed that most of the ladybugs on this tree were on or near the petioles of the leaves, just like this one. Maybe if aphids were to spread to the leaf, they'd come across the petiole?
