I'm sure people think that I only sub to author Patreons for the drip drip drip of early exclusives and the like but you have it right on.

I can't wait for some folks next book to reward them for the entertainment I've already gotten from previous works. It's an investment for the future for me.

I've emailed authors asking to please start a Patreon just for this reason. Not to pay you for what you've done or to rush the in ext thing along but to help you keep doing what you're doing.

I've definitely considered it for my mecha work. I'm just left fearing that I'd need to add more to sweeten the incentive, when all I've got otherwise is fanfiction(with trans characters)
