The one way the gov should actually be run like a business is that they should advertise what they do. There are too many people who need to have the benefits explained to them like they were five, and then be reminded again every couple weeks when they lose the plot over and over.

I spent 33 years in government. I can tell you not only does the public not understand government, they take for granted all that it does. As if, roads, clean air, safe food/water) public safety, care for grandma, magically happens. All they want to do is bitch about govt and taxes.

There will be 1000 examples like this. A PNW resident told me today a bunch of salmon hatcheries in WA on one river system - I forgot the name - have completely lost funding. Operations have stopped.
