This is something I feel strongly about. How can any club encourage inclusivity to all, then allow some of the most horrendous comments on Facebook. I know the club won't do anything to those people...but how about actually challenging these comments. @wbalgbt.bsky.social deserve better.

I am grateful you are here. I left Twitter due to the horrible hate and right wing stuff it put in my feed. There are a number of Championship clubs on here - I follow them . I am dismayed that the Albion aren’t on here - as well as a Worcester ccc - given the racism and sexism which is on x.

I’m confident that most organisations, of all types, profess support for inclusivity more for reputational enrichment than because they actually believe it. And I always have. I don’t doubt that Albion, along with every football club, are probably in that category. It’s all marketing.

Absolutely. The irony is that it is the worst form of marketing imaginable. You're effectively green-lighting the most discriminatory comments on one hand, while pledging support for LGBTQ+ campaigns on the other. The optics are terrible.

I guess they can say, in a fairly reasonable defence, that they have said they support the cause and they can’t be held responsible for the rancid responses. But overall I don’t really get why they do it at all, except to virtue signal for reputational brownie points.

If we want to compete at the top table again, we need as big a fan base as possible. That means making the club as appealing to as many different parts of society as we can. The club must do more to shut down those who don’t embrace inclusivity. If it does, we will gain more fans than we lose.

Spot on Chris, I'm embarrassed to support the same club sometimes, as the parent of an LGBTQ+ child, I find in extremely offensive. And, we all need to be off X!

I actually find the club's shrug to all of this even worse than the comments. Some people will never be educated, but to sit back and do nothing (they can delete if nothing else) is beyond unacceptable.

I don't use the other platform anymore which means I miss a lot if content but I'd rather have that than support their platform
