Yeah...their 26 TD/11 INT QB, their *barely* top 3rd defense, and their 12th ranked rushing yards definitely earned a 15-2 regular season all by themselves.
Yes. It did. They were 15-1, coming off back to back titles, 3 in 5 years, 4 AFC titles, and 7 straight AFCCG appearances. They are factually better than everyone else
They had two drive saving calls on Saturday. The first, by the head referee, LOOKED helmet to helmet from that rear camera. Pretty understandable from my point of view.
The second, when Mahomes was just mashing the D-pad on a scramble, was a superstar protection call.
It’s because people have Chiefs’ fatigue, which is understandable, but it isn’t a reason to ignore facts.
On that exact same series, Trey Smith got hit with a phantom holding call to set up 1st and 19 and KC just went ahead and converted. Troy Aikman didn’t say a word though
Yeah but I’m a KC guy, not religiously any more, so it’s not KC fatigue. KC Fatigue was when they let Rich Gannon go be MVP for the Raiders in favor of two more years of Elvis Grbac.
That broke my heart because we all knew it was Gannon!
But that is the national sentiment and people get swept up in it.
Watch the FG Chenal blocked. Reid blasts off the end and is going to block it, the the OL just grabs him from behind and whips him down. If the FG goes in, wouldn’t be a peep
“Drive saving call” buddy that second one came on first down and if it hadn’t been called the Chiefs would’ve been facing 2nd & 6. If that is your definition of “drive saving” then I guess I understand why you’ve bought into this dumb narrative.
Yeah I had this discussion already. My brain forgot the Kelce first down. I didn’t delete the original comment because I thought the discussion was beneficial. But, not enough to have it again. Thanks.
It was helmet to helmet. They showed this view once and never showed it again. Text book crown to helmet call. I don't know why ESPN had video of foul and choose to keep showing an angle behind where you can't see the foul occur.
But to think you can come into KC, give up a kick return, miss a 55 FG and and extra point and then whine about the refs?
It just isn't how the league has ever worked.
You have to be flawless to beat KC, and Texans weren't.
Texans kept making mistakes starting with that idiot Boyd. Eight sacks on Stroud. Kelce passing Jerry Rice on the postseason passing list with a 117 yard game. KC playing fantastic and not making mistakes, you whiny losers go on about two calls like nothing else happened in the whole game:)
😶
Someone asked about the refs so I gave my thoughts on those calls.
I think it was a remarkable game when a team puts up more than 300 yards and the other team has neither a 300 passer or a 100 yard rusher and yet wins going away.
I try not to be a homer is all.
As a Chiefs fan, maybe we are spoiled from the pinball days but this game felt like a real grind. Good work by the defense in the second half, I thought that opening drive would wear them down and it did not.
And I even laugh when Fairbairn gets dinged for “missing” a 55 yard FG in 8 degree weather, with 20 MPH winds in Arrowhead which is notorious for swirling winds. That is hardly an easy kick
No but that was the game turning decision. They have KC the ball on the 45 and it took five plays to score a touchdown. I don’t blame the kick but it cost Houston significantly to miss.
Even if they had been flawless the two RTP calls changed the game by extending their drives adding ten points. We don't know what the Texans could have done after those two punts that never happened.
See that’s just provably false. The second penalty was on 1st and 10 and without it would have had KC in 2nd and 6. And that is AFTER the phantom holding call that put them in 1st and 19 earlier.

Uh huh.
Sure.
The second, when Mahomes was just mashing the D-pad on a scramble, was a superstar protection call.
The 2nd penalty was on 1st and 10 and if not called would result in 2nd and 6. How is that drive saving? Like at all?
Huh. I'll have to review the tape, because in the moment, it sure felt drive-saving and now I'm wondering why.

But do go on with your made up nonsense
