Can anyone tell me whether the Teamsters have said, one way or the other, whether people should keep placing orders during the strike? I've seen conflicting information about whether it's helpful or not, so I'm going to need to see what they themselves want people to do. Please link directly.

I stopped using Amazon when Bezos blocked WaPo from endorsing Harris. Feels good.

It’s not much of an inconvenience. I look on Amazon to find a product or read reviews — then just find another vendor.

It was a lot easier to drop Amazon then you think I just use various other less popular sites or go straight to the source. If your willing to search a bit longer you can even find cheaper prices sometimes then Amazon.

from what I understood this wasn't a boycott strike? Like, yes we should boycott when asked but this was one of those cases like "no please keep the orders coming in so they can see how much they need us" type things

Yeah, don't buy off Amazon in general if you can avoid it but this isn't a boycott. They're asking primarily for donations to the strike fund but there's some other things you can do:

I've read it thoroughly, multiple times, and there's nothing in here about whether people should or shouldn't keep ordering things as normal during the strike. I've tried contacting them directly for clarification, but until I hear back, I think the best thing is to boycott for the duration.

Could be from a post explainin the difference between a boycott and strike. So far, from other posts, the requests from union strikes is to not cross the picket line, no ask for boycott yet. Also, with no workers, those orders wont be filled and it causes stress to Amazon, specially if its thousands

I still say that "stress" will be felt a lot more by the workers than the upper deckers. The only stress management feels is from loss of business. Until the strikers clarify their position, I say no more orders.

Im just statin the obvious, less workers plus a large amount of orders not gettin shipped means less business bein made plus pressure on the corporation. Since the strike didnt state no boycott, its assumed its fine to order. Though personally i refer folks to other sites and not order from amazon:

Best example is when a customer came to my store and was surprise how "cheap" a drink was(1.99) from us to buy, when i asked how much they bought, the price(was a royal milk tea can) they said it was 3.99 a can. I was floored and asked what store they bought theres from, and they said amazon. Right

There i told them thats wrong and even showed the order sheet on what its suppose to cost, while also referin to other local grocery shops that sell in bulk. Same thing if folks are lookin for other merch, i refer them to other sites or local shops.
