Day 54: Chocolate to celebrate the first spring-like day of the year here in Leiden! Not even needing a coat to go for a walk is a novelty I enjoy rediscovering every year.
This week's bar is from Czech bean-to-bar chocolatier Jordis. Despite its remarkable history in cocoa, Mexican beans aren't all that common. The initial smoky notes of this beautiful 75% bar, using beans from the Sierra Madre mountains, give way to complex notes of cherry liqueur and hazelnuts.
