What HAS changed is that because of doorbell/garage cams and social media we’re now much more hyper aware of every thing - even if it’s not in our own neighborhood or even city. It makes us much, much more paranoid.

The difficulty being of course when people in MN say crime is up, or crime is awful, what they actually mean is, I didn't unpack bus integration after Rosa Parks with my therapist. Has nothing to do with crime.
