Thats not a bad idea. I could maybe poke around… or maybe i’ll just damn the torpedos and go for it tomorrow, how bad could it be? (Years of sanding thats how bad)
I mean, tbf I’m thinking along the lines of “get a strip of 2-by that you’ve checked to be trued up and attach it temporarily” class of jigs and not something with a meaningful price tag associated.
Ah, yeah, i would have liked to have tried something like that, problem there is its an 18” saw, a 34” diameter log, and the only possible attachment point for something homemade is near the tip of the chainsaw :-/
The chainsaw mills are pretty good from what i hear, if you have a big enough saw. I totally fucked up the freehand slab and it is now becoming firewood.
