There are tons of things like this with Teslas. For instance, refusing to use lidar for self driving and using cameras has resulted in many deaths that were otherwise preventable if equipped with LiDAR. Even how the lighting is wired lacks basic redundancy in most cars. Garbage from garbage.

This is why he’s so dangerous. He’s a person that has high risk tolerance, also an over-inflated ego. This is great for a software or even a rocket company. Insane for a car company. Tesla disrupted the market, but is losing market share rapidly. He’s basically left TSLA for dead anyway.

The truth is you can get out of a Tesla from the inside if you know how. That's a big if. Even then, the real problem is it First Responders cannot open the door from the outside. All they can do is stand by helplessly and watch you die the most horrible way possible.

There is a way to manually open a door on a Tesla. It is hidden under a cover. Unless everyone reads the manual or the driver tells, them in an emergency they won’t know if it exists or where to find it.

Yes,you're right from what I've read. I'm referring to the original design which had a manual handle that Elon hated. He also had the doors enlarged to suit his size & a few other changes, I don't recall.

Totally untrue, there's a manual lever. The issue is that the glass seal can be damaged if you use the manual lever rather than the electric release.

The seal provides better sound proofing and aerodynamics by having the glass slide up into it, rather than just pressing against it. Other cars do the same thing, although I'm not sure if they use the same solution, I.e. electrically retracting the glass.

Most cars have the same, either metal or glass or some other material. I don't know of any cars ever that didn't have some sort of seal to keep out road noise. Do you have a Tesla?

Apparently Tesla window seals leak unless you put it in car wash mode. It's not just Cybertrucks. What a ridiculously unnecessary complication. This is what happens when ppl beta test the cars instead of Tesla.

No, most cars do not have frameless glass. No, the door seals do not leak. That would be ridiculous. The manual door release used to have a potential to damage the trim if used repeatedly because the window had to be forced by it. It drops the window nowadays.

It's more about the efficiency, all cars have a rubber seal, but most rely on lateral pressure from the door to make the seal. The Tesla, and i think some Mercedes tuck the glass up into the seal, which is a lot more effective.

That's not what I've found by researching just now. You may be right as I don't have a Tesla. But, either way, Mercedes do have interior handles to get out in an emergency. So do most EVs. The number of deaths & fires speak for themselves.
