The problem there is the baked meringue has a thin, rigid crust over the sweet gooey center, and the insertion of the support spaghetti would leave holes. I don't know if meringue has a patch for those sorts of vulns.
This is weird advice. I suspect the spaghetti parts that are inside the pie will get soft and limp rather quickly, and all this time we have these at our disposal (Or are these unknown in the Greatest Country on Earth? 😏)
You can literally just do this without the spaghetti. Wrap the clingwrap vertically like a wall and twist the top to trap a bubble of air that holds the plastic up.
