This week it’s hard not to despair as we see everything we’ve lost. But public health has always been an act of faith. Faith that incremental changes can make vast differences in the future. So keep speaking up. Keep doing the work. We are the keepers of the seeds. And we will grow again. 💚

I cannot imagine what sane, aware Americans must be feeling through all of this, but in Canada, we support you.
We also have the most connected society in history, and the ability to replicate documents with ease. (To: 5 emails, boom 5 CCs)
Kitchenware Revolution won, we can too.
Studies stopped
Samples lost
Expertise stifled or exhausted
The written word will (hopefully) live so that these efforts can be someday restarted
Meanwhile everything languishes. And people die.
Yet, as you say, the work will begin again. Because we rise again from seeds under the ashes.
"If you are too tired to hold up the sign, hand it off. If there is no one else, set it down. It will be picked up, eventually."
Most practitioners would choose Public Health but it pays shite.
I’m not mad at the practitioner who needs to pay their loans off.
I’m mad at the system that allows for the disparity.
And yes, we are the Keepers of the Seeds.
