Lived in that area for a decade and raised a kid there. Our unhoused neighbors were some of our favorite neighbors, being kind, good-hearted folk. We'd chat, share snacks - kiddo loved giving favorite fruits out - just be people together. I often miss them and think of them, hoping they're well.

Just so we're clear: Fighting this in the courts is necessary and appropriate. Opposition in the chambers of Congress, too. But it is not *enough* and we all need to recognize this. This is a constitutional crisis. The rule of law has been suspended. This isn't *won* in the courts.
