I hope, but cautiously. The anti-government rallies started with local issues, and Serbian nationalism is still very dominant.

Yes, I'm a little sceptical too. I don't have any in-depth knowledge, but I watched Katya Adler's recent programmes on the Balkans, and didn't get the impression that Serbia was particularly pro-West.

This is Niš (second lagrest city), not Belgrade. There were very large gatherings previously in Belgrade and Novi Sad, the next ones are in Belgrade on March 15. But - correction - this is Niš on Saturday March 1st.
