Hi. Obviously any attention to the condition is good, but please lay off the low level transphobia - it impacts 1 in 10 cis and AFAB women. The number is closer to 1 in 11 women after accounting for trans women. Please be a better more thoughtful here 🙏

It’s not just the main problem though…lack of effective treatment is the next problem. I’ve had it all, surgery, injections, other hormones and my endo still grows back. I also have endo on my diaphragm. It’s a lifetime disease, despite a diagnosis, for many.

Yep, me too. Full hysterectomy at 36. I had an exploratory operation to diagnose it at 30. Lasers and all sorts, but gave up at 36. I can't believe things are no better. 😥

My poor niece was finally having an op today after years of ignoring her complaints by medics only to be told they couldn’t do it because it’s too deep. She’s devastated. I hope this pill will be suitable for her.

It will ‘help’ few women (1,000). And I can’t imagine what state they will be in by the time they have jumped through all the medical hoops to get it.
Also, there are millions of us who have Endometriosis in the UK. It’s disappointing that no better options for the masses, have been found.

But isn’t this just another GNRH?
I had zoladex administered at the GP. It isn’t pleasant and induced chemical menopause.

It is temporary and in my case didn’t work. Often you need add back oestrogen anyway to prevent bone loss.

Was quite alarmed to see NICE were ready to reject the pill on the NHS before more evidence of efficacy came to light. After treating people with endometriosis I cannot emphasise enough how debilitating this can be for some.
