hey so just anecdotally and for no reason letting you know I used to track my period for fertility reasons pre-smart phone and I used a pen and paper
what you do is take your temperature when you wake up every day and write it down (does need to be the same time of day)
when you ovulate it goes up

It’s probably dated (this was 20 years ago) but it worked: I always knew the EXACT HOUR my period would start
So if you know when you ovulate, you know exactly when your period is coming
And don’t get me started on the fluid changes
PCOS so it wasn’t super helpful, but still.
and the 30th anniv edition is coming out this year 😲
When I was TTC, my GP told me 'if you bleed, you ovulate'. It was only when I saw a gynaecologist that my suspicion that I didn't ovulate every month was actually confirmed. So be prepared to argue the point, too... 🤦♀️
