Just found out that, not only am I lactose intolerant, my parents tested me for it when I was a toddler and just forgot to tell me about it when I got older. For nearly 25 years now, I've assumed my stomach issues were the way everyone functioned. Stopped dairy 24 hours ago and I'm already improving

Lactaid and certain Greek yogurts will be your best friends from now on.
She's a doctor. 👀
Immediate relief. After seeing that her mom tried it and had her little brother switch as well. Instant QOL improvement.
My rule of thumb is stay away from dairy that’s sweet, b/c lactose is sugar. If it’s not sweet, there’s no lactose.
I’m also wack flows intolerant, but that’s unrelated (comorbidity).
it’s not worth the gassy aftereffects
I'd personally keep an eye out for Lactose free items.
At least here in Canada is seems like they are getting more and more common.
Lactose free cheeses, ice cream and even milk are all out there.
You can even take Lactace tablets to help as well when you're out to eat.
