Seriously, I genuinely can't remember the last time I actually willingly watched pre-race. The only time I ever turn it on is so I don't miss the start of the race (and usually mute it and slap it on my other monitor to visually check)

While I don't view it as a patriotic thing, the variation in approaches to the Anthem is something that interests me, so have in the past tuned in to see who/how that goes. The Nationals have one of the National Symphony Orchestra players do it on an 'electric bat' sometimes

We are converting our Martinsville tickets to a credit today to be used fuck knows when because of the uncertainty around spending the money to get down there, stay, and do usual NASCAR fan stuff like buy merch, and will be letting the ticket rep know over the phone exactly why that is happening.
