I think the DOW will be under 30K by the end of the week. I think that every non-US entity will start pulling their money out of US companies. could we hit 20K on the DOW by the the 4th of July? Yup... I am so very glad my current employer is a non-public company.

My assumption has been that Trump is /threatening/ tariffs to accrue bribes. The idea is that individual companies in those countries can pay him to NOT screw them over specifically. I could be wrong. I'd be amazed if Elons suppliers pay a dime extra. Now... does the market know that? :shrug:

Yeah. Mexico is giving him what he wants, and Canadians are pressuring Trudeau to cooperate. I'm the end, there will be few tariffs if any and he will be seen as a savvy and powerful negotiator. Sad face.

Mexico promised troops that are ALREADY at the border-5000 less than last year. Canada promised to do something that's been budgeted and approved for two months. Nobody conceded anything. Trump claims he got concessions because the US corporate media & many citizens are suckers & nobody will check.

The thing is, the involvement of Musk is high-profile enough that it means the Tesla stock will probably get a sugar-hit because speculators are inherently politically brain-dead.

Hopefully it'll fall off drastically from there and Musk will be imprisoned.
