I never knew that Gene Hackman did a Woody Allen film, ANOTHER WOMAN, co-starring Gena Rowlands. It’s from 1988, around Allen’s peak period. Has anyone seen it? I must track it down.

I've seen it and recall enjoying it, although it's been about 20 years. It's one of Allen's heavier dramas, like Interiors, in which he doesn't have an acting role himself.
Yes, it’s mid - but he has two scenes that are knockouts. He’s one of the few actors who completely rises above that Allen serious-mode house style where the dialogue sounds like indifferently translated subtitles.
I have seen it. Had a VHS screener back in the day. It's really an alien thing seeing Hackman in a Woody movie but (as he always was) he's quite good in it.
