Most likely Space Mutiny. Though, I'm also partial to Final Justice. Any Joe Don Baker film being joked at is always a treat.

So many people say Space Mutiny but those Roman Times host segments are dire.

I'd argue MST3K:TM is a perfect intro: explains the premise succinctly, fun colorful movie, and (ludicrously) shorter than any TV episode.

Shorts compilations can be even better than the movie. That's what I used to do.
