The NHS care for people with complex chronic conditions is abysmal. Focused almost entirely on psychological pathways, with very little investigation. I’m ME secondary to Covid vaccination. They’ve given me that diagnosis despite not seeing an immunologist or a rheumatologist…

…they seem to use ME as a catch all, once you are in that basket they don’t monitor symptoms or try treatments, they just offer “symptom management” which appears to consist of CBT and pacing. Nobody wants to discuss trigger.

My younger sister has long covid. Gave her significant nerve pain down her arms. No one knows what to do. She was offered help from a pilot study but nothing came of it. As we move further away from the #COVIDYEARS there is less sympathy for those affected.

It’s been a struggle for a decade to get any effective and engaged support for a young person with CFS/ME. I have so much sympathy for those with Long Covid who have similar experiences.
