Hasn't been the same since about 1990, when they stopped stamping the serial number into the bottom of the can, and therefore into the end of the sauce. Now you have no idea what you're getting.
In case this information may benefit someone... A tablespoon or so of the canned cranberry sauce added to a blender with the other required cocktail ingredients can make a very tasty, holiday-themed Frozen Margarita or Frozen Daiquiri. Add either a salted or sugared rim on the glass for added fun.
Hey, it's tradition! There's always someone who tried to make a fancy cranberry dish but no one eats it. If canned is good enough for Logan Roy, it's good enough for me.
