mind you this would have been back in the late 90s when I was single, no earthly idea if these literary vixens still operate in the aisles of Barnes & Noble
Not a vixen, but I have made friends, male and female at my local bookstore. No pressure, there's a coffee shop attached, and if it's later in the day, a real bar. Haven't availed myself of adult beverages.
Female perspective: safe, public place. He can read and likes books. We can talk
OMG! True!
I had someone try to pick me up in a plant store after I responded to his question in the checkout line about the difference between mulch and compost. I suggested he join the garden club.
BTW the garden club is another great place to meet women.
You seem like someone I can ask this question and going in can full accept I'm a dumbass....below that laughing emoji I have a box that's just buffering and doing nothing else...first what is it and second do you know why mine wouldn't be doing anything but buffering?
It's a lag from the gif loading. Not sure why, I am a very novice techie. ππ
I can only assume on part of the code loaded before I hit post so now it's stuck in LaLaLoop Land. ππ€£
OH that's cool...no judgment on this end as emphasized by my need to ask. it's happened to me several times actually and I tried to post something that did it too and I couldn't figure out why. thankfully I don't actually care because if I'm being honest "dumb" is the closest thing I have to charm
My boyfriend went into Bath & Body Works to get me hand sani after a surgery I had. He came back out to the car saying thatβs where single men should be looking! He was extremely outnumbered! π€£
This got me laughing today and I needed it! Though my trips to target would be a disappointment to most. Iβve done In/out very moody and anxious to get outβ¦donβt talk to me atitude!
I will attest that this is true that I see more women at Target of every type so men you are bound to find someone you're attracted to. And it seems target women are actually trying to find someone, unfortunately I apparently am not their type lmfao
Ohhhh Home Depot is a great place to meet Queer/Lesbian women. Especially if youβre attracted to Butch/Masc women. Itβs a definite free for all there. π
-Home Depot: Butch Lesbians
-IKEA: Bitchy Queens (because I can be one at times)
-Target: Heteros (perhaps they have the patience to wait around for someone to unlock the cabinet for a tube of toothpaste)
-Dollar Store: All others?
Hate to burst your bubble but women are shopping we arenβt trying to hook upβ¦.we donβt even look at you unless you have a red shirt and we canβt find something.
His bubble is just fine - George Takei is a happily married gay man. The joke was that women at Target are looking for things they donβt need - like men trying to pick them up, which they also donβt need.
I was talking men in general commentingβ¦not George heβs fabulous and Iβve always adored him. He was the only character I really liked when my big brother made me watch Star Trek.
Many years ago I made the mistake of going to a Target wearing a red polo and khakis...needless to say, I was being bothered by women and men alike π
When I was younger & single, I met several people in department stores & malls, both for long term relationships and shorter endeavors.
But that was before people decided the only proper way to find a partner was to shop for them in an online catalog and Google them before even saying hello.
If I was looking for a man, I'd go to Home Depoe or Lowe's, on a Sunday around 11am.
Men @ these places know how to fix/build things, Sunday ppl bring their dogs (you can tell a lot abt a man by his dog) & 11am means he's not religious.
Sometimes I go just to flirt. I like to keep my skills sharp
Dogs have been welcomed at Lowes and HD for quite a while. I would bring my mother's dog, a Rottweiler/Lab mix to both stores for socializing or when I needed a small part or visited the garden shop. Instant male magnet. No intention of doing anything, but fun to see.
When I was young I found that the best place to meet women was at a laundromat. They usually arrive dressed in their most casual clothes, often without makeup. Itβs a much more relaxed atmosphere. Plus, they canβt abandon their best wardrobes that are in the washers & dryers.
You also will see them how they really look and behave. Not the artificial creation they become when they go out for the night. This applies to men as well.
I knew a guy in my mid 20's that hit Parents Without Partners meetings when he was going through a slump. He didn't have kids, but he did have pics of his nieces and nephews. They came in handy for his purposes.
Was in college watching a band with some classmates. A guy came to our table to ask a girl to dance interrupting us. Best reply ever...."I already have an asshole in my pants, I don't need another one"
Most Trumper guys still don't get that for today's woman toxic masculinity is an option they're not choosing. That's why there's so many incels. They don't know how to be men.
it's always been that way lol they can't face their fragile egos and the fact that men and their psychophysiology is the cause of most problems. so they do everything they can to oppress women while claiming the mind isn't real.
It's not just "don't know how to be men". It's worse. They have a false and dangerous misunderstanding of how to be men, centered on aggression, misogyny and bullying.

If they were starting from a blank page, if they were open minded and ready to learn OTHER versions of how to be a man...

...then Andrew Tate's media empire would be less lucrative.
-
Choosing Andrew Tate as role model rather than, say, Tom Holland, is like buying soft serve from the McDonald's in Rome, instead of buying gelato, at the same price, from the nearby local stores.

It takes a good woman also. TBH I married young and my wife stuck with me while I learned how to be a man and a father. 51 years later she's still with me and I'm so blessed to have her. I'm still apologizing for the dumb things I did. Life is a process.
Ikr? My husband and I were married 20y before he passed. His version of masculinity, a large rough electrical contractor, involved buying groceries, cooking, brewing beer, making pickles, canning.

TRUTH!! That's where I used to pick up womyn.
Not so in a bar.

Go back where you came from WalMart dweller!!!!
I like my Target π― sassy and chabby chic. Leave us in peace. π«‘π€£

& it IS a good zinger.
My mental health improved when I abandoned any reasonable hope for a relationship.
Try it - it's like freedom!
Ironically I have 4x connection rate now.
Iβm in a local Target Parking Lot Husbandβs Group. A lot of the guys have never been insideβ¦
Question, will they get better looking just before closing time?

Thank you, wise one - what other wisdom do you have?
TRUE !!
Least you have your gun though right?
Plus ... its funny ... and true.
Would you accept the equivalent with genders swapped?
Hi!
I'm a mid-2 in public, 9+ at Walmart.
Not wearing pajamas, I have teeth and deodorant.

Good advice.
