As someone with a phobia of the damn things: I’d probably accidentally injure someone while attempting escape the plane. You’re never going to find me anywhere near that company.
That being said: people would be surprised how common roaches are. They’re usually just kept out of the cabin. @_@
So as a former pest control man I can tell you that was an American roach. Those are large, usually live outside. Possibly an egg sac (up to 40 babies!) was somehow dropped from luggage or from getting in while the plane was resting probably in a very warm climate like Phoenix. "Stuff happens"!
I'm an outdoor girl-I'm Northern Ontario born and bred, so it's practically the law - when it comes to the city though, this girl was built for the sheets, not the streets.
I work in social health. The last thing I want to see when not working is people.
There was a viral video of a plane being sprayed inside for unwanted critters, with the passengers all seated, and being sprayed too with the noxious chemicals, makes planes seem even more unattractive as transport... 🤢
A well known cybersecurity professional and she complained about an airline that can’t do their job to clean their planes. This is what happens when there is disruption!

Bed bug? Nuh uh. That emergency door is off, and I'm out it parachute or no.
Arachnids and bedbugs are probably the only things that can override my fear of heights...

Less weight less climate change.
I wouldn't fly Spirit unless my life depended on it.
There still aren't roaches.
