There will now be a local author display at the library and they asked me to be a vendor at their next fundraising event in a few weeks!

Okay, so I went to a DIFFERENT local library (a bigger one) that I frequent and talked to the lady at the desk, who said that wasn't her department, and gave me the card of the person to contact, and I emailed them, and no response. And then I did the discreet thing, and still no go. So!

I'm still a little scarred from when B&N made me ask them like 8 times over the course of a year, because they needed to wait for their system to update, before telling me they couldn't without setting them to be returnable 😅

Librarians (in my experience) rarely turn down donations, especially if there aren't many in the system, were published in the last 10 years, and are in good condition.

Yay! You should also ask if you can do an author talk- you probably won’t get paid but you can sell your books after. That’s my job and I love when speakers offer to come talk!

I did the same yesterday, too!

Equally, they suggested I do an author talk (to up to 50 people) at a sister library.

But I'm an old pro, really. The last talk I did at my local library was with two punters and a librarian.
