In reading @thescottjayro.bsky.social’s text on Midi-chlorians and the Force I have to speculate and wonder:
While the Path of the Open Hand evokes an Indigenous view of the Force to (at least on the surface) live in harmony with the Force, they also hold a vehement opposition to use of the Force.

Even one that could be undercut by the fact “harmony” still includes ideas like “using all parts” and not stagnant isolation.
This of course is all surface level and from what Marda expresses in Path of Deceit to Kevmo.
Do living beings generate such power simply by existence/death or its participation and communication with its symbiont midi-chlorians?
However life sprung forth which would indicate a desire for partnership/stewardship from sentients. It CAN survive without us but WILLS us to action.
Conversely, it is true that sentient interaction with a river and malintent could lead one to siphon and dam off resources to be hoarded.
Yes, even the Stranger is included in that.
The Festival of Balance is a brilliant extrapolation of how sentients gather in an attempt (however futile) to gain understanding together as a societal unit.
