A little pet peeve of mine?

Leaving the microwave timer on however many seconds are left after you nuked your meal, instead of resetting it back to the clock.

Why are we leaving 0:42 seconds on it? Did you not know you could heat your meal to the EXACT TIME NEEDED? Or? Push the Reset button!
