This applies to fake art accs as well!!!! As i’ve seen plenty a bot acc masquerading as a real artist and it rlly disturbs me.

So I don't do paid visual work, but as a freelancer I'd suggest asking for at least half up front to weed out the unserious and not let your time be wasted.

I had two experiences, of people offering outrageous amounts for my stuff, each time I said I don't want it but donate that money to a children's charity, radio silence thereafter.

It goes the other way also, people take credit for other peoples' work and take their commissions but have no intention of sending the work as they weren't the artist in the first place.
