Know one who would try it, but she doesn't lie very well. Does holler a lot though. From a long hallway. That reverberates her yells. Perfect place to amplify her disgust. Of course she knows it does. Never stops. Dogs go check on her. She stares at them. How dare they.
Former room mates' cat ran away after 'dad' yelled at him for no reason. After the second day they stopped looking for him. 'Mom' told me he was nowhere nearby, as she had looked everywhere. Turns out he was just scared of them and hiding on the property.
Same for poor doggos, bunnies and even those weird lizard and snake things who are stuck with lousy custodians (I can't even refer to them as owners and certainly not as pet-parents).
I'm in PH. it is common here for someone to buy puppy or kitten and then when it is no longer little and cute, they are put out on the street to fend for themselves :-( There are feral cats and stray dogs all over.
Good morning precious Missy!! It would be nice to be able to return owners who have no respect for the fur babies they were responsible for.....but the best we have is karma.
As someone who has volunteered in shelters for 2 decades, I don't understand the mindset that's come about in more recent years. The attitude: Well, if this one doesn't work out, I can trade it in for another one. Who raised these horrible humans?!
I get calls, too.
Can we just bring our dog over to see how it gets along with your cats?
I’m like, can I send over to your house a stranger to interact with your grandchildren to see how he does?
In the UK, @number10cat.bsky.social would have blocked several PMs from entering Downing Street - and the world may have been a better place, once the hooomans (in one political party) realised their mistaking in electing dross.

We all want better humans

He had dry food since 9 this morning because he woke me up to tell me he was hungry. 😂
I found him. He came to me.
This is Orion.
The concept of pet ownership is philosophically very close to slave ownership.
When you consider the way many humans treat their blood family it’s not surprising that they are not good enough for their fur family.
“My dinner is late, do I need to call the Return Office?”
