Meanwhile in Russia: state TV pundits on Vladimir Solovyov's show took turns mocking Trump. They applauded the damage he is doing to the U.S. and the world order and urged him to keep going for as long as possible. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCX9...

"This has been a tough week for those who believe diversity is our strength, immigration built America, we should take pride in our capacity for generosity and decency, and free speech and due process are at the heart of our commitment to democracy & justice." www.americaamerica.news/p/whose-amer...

Frost: I come from Florida. See, Project 2025 is Florida 2024. We’ve seen this, but we also know how to deal with it. When they disappear, a college student, you take to the streets. When they steal your Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid, you take to the streets.

Someone in the crowd is in medical distress while nurses are on stage at the fighting oligarchy rally. The nurses rush off stage to give medical aid

Autism didn’t make them do it. Mental illness didn’t, either. This personal piece from The Big Picture cuts through the excuses and names the real issue: some people are just hateful, and we need to stop giving them cover.

Trump’s regime ignores a SCOTUS ruling?!; Why did DOJ drop a major MS-13 case?; Will NC toss military votes in key Supreme Court race? Ben Meiselas & Michael Popok break it all down on Legal AF at 8p ET/5p PT. Don’t miss it.

It looks like someone has hacked a crosswalk button in Palo Alto to deliver at least two different messages in the voice of Elon Musk. (They are not complimentary)

My good friend @ritchshydner.bsky.social has started a series of wonderful short videos about the history of comedy and comics. I love these. Please go follow Ritch and I’ll treat you to a different one each week !

The Trump administration pays El Salvador President Nayib Bukele's government $6 million to house prisoners it sends to CECOT. That’s the prison where Kilmar Abrego Garcia is currently being held. If the US controls the purse strings, then don’t pay El Salvador until Abrego Garcia comes home.

LOL Who did this? 😆😉😏

This right here 🔥 “If there was market manipulation, it is a crime. Someone needs to go to jail… I want the documents. I want the Signal chats too, because I don’t trust them — that they weren’t sharing all this information across their Signal chats.” – @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social

El Salvadoran President Bukele is visiting the White House on Monday. What do you think the odds are that if the administration asked, in concurrence with the visit, for El Salvador to return Albrego Garcia that they would refuse? 10,000 to 1? Higher?

Rep. Maxwell Frost: “They're the ones hoarding wealth beyond imagination. We have to tell people the reason you can't pay your rent has nothing to do with trans people. The reason you don't have healthcare has nothing to do with immigrants. It has to do with billionaires like Elon Musk.”

According to a source, when Musk privately messages associates and confidants about reports from federal staffers about how their lives have been wrecked, the Tesla CEO is known to react with laugh-crying emojis. Story: www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Lawlessness and shamelessness.

Bracketing the issue of willingness to comply. President Trump has hereby admitted he has the capacity to bring Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador. That's the ballgame in current litigation. I assume plaintiffs will cite this statement to Judge Xinis.

This is a concession by the U.S. government that its “arrangement” with El Salvador is irrevocable. To me this has to be grounds to argue that the arrangement itself is unconstitutional under the Fifth and Eighth Amendments

Man, this shit sucks so bad. All these accounts do is reinforce false and misguided hope in institutions and soothe people who need to recognize fixing things depends on them getting into the fight themselves instead of watching the worsening crisis like a television show.

would love to see a volume/time graph on these for the past week

If you feel like being inspired by a big law firm, here's the opening to Sussman Godfrey's lawsuit against Trump and his executive order targeting the firm. It still is amazing other firms caved quickly to Trump's mob-like and unconstitutional shakedown. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

@gtconway.bsky.social describes the “black hole for due process” of Trump’s immigration policies and says the notion that the Trump administration cannot bring home Kilmar Abrego Garcia is “bull”.

“If this disappearance, this forced rendition to El Salvador can happen to him, who is next?” President of the legal organization defending deported makeup artist Andry Hernandez Romero says no one is safe from deportation risks.

We have the most anti-free speech government in modern American history. (And yet, in true Orwellian fashion, they claim to be champions of free speech.)

The stock portfolios of more than two dozen members of Congress outperformed the market in 2024. This isn't due to luck or skill. Lawmakers can use privileged information to trade stocks while they’re supposed to be working for you. Make no mistake, it’s legalized corruption.
