The U.S. government detained 125K+ Japanese Americans at 75 sites around the country -- ten major concentration camps, temporary camps, DOJ camps, dark sites, army facilities (including Ft. Sill, OK which also housed Apache POWs and a deadly boarding school.)
Acknowledged wrong, apologized in 1988.

Acknowledged (as a shitshow) due to "wartime hysteria, racial prejudice, and a failure of political leadership" in the Civil Liberties Act of 1988, and paid out a token $20K per surviving individual affected.

Individual due process was not protected. Other BoR amendmts violated.

If only there were some historical reference for how a Camp with a large Concentration of people are kept. If only they were to give some signal like some special Salute… How can we possibly guess their intentions when they tell us who they are, loudly and boldly?
