Don’t be so sure. The GOP is drunk and stupid right now. At some point in the next few weeks there is going to start to be doubt. Maximum pressure on weak/normie R districts.
Empower some small group of R’s to break with GOP.

Yeah, he’s moving in the right direction but not with the urgency. He touted all the wins in the courts, but I wish she’d challenged him on that, because the money ordered flowing by courts is still not flowing “on the ground” because they’re finding ways to defy courts.

In real time in the show he was calculating his answer. He wasn’t ready last night to commit to a flat-out NO agenda with the R’a.
He saw the reaction to it by the base, and he saw the strength in his caucus. Now he has the rhetorical mandate. And everybody needs to get behind it.

I live in Western NC & many people are still without homes or jobs due to the hurricane. There are also government workers here from the forest service to the VA. I want to know how musk constantly threatening people’s job is is helpful? and how people can rebuild their homes w/trumps tariffs?

I absolutely agree that we cannot accept cuts and/or eligibility criteria to essential programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security.

But Dems must not vote for any budget until checks & balances are restored.

This budget vote is the only real power they have to fight for our democracy.

At minimum, Democrats must not vote yes until:
1. Trump and Musk stop unlawfully freezing spending for programs Congress has approved of;

2. Trump re-hires the Inspectors General that he had unlawfully fired.

We especially need oversight on Musk’s access to systems with our sensitive data.

4. Trump & Patel appoint a Deputy Director who has a long tenure at the FBI and isn’t as blatantly partisan and unqualified as Dan Bongino. We must restore FBI integrity
