@stfn In Poland the biggest problem is the housing community(Wspólnota mieszkaniowa). You need to have thier permision to install something like that on the balcony. A friend said that his neighbor has been fighting with the community for a year to get such permision

@bfaliszek There's a lot of places that are not a part of a Wspólnota. I was more wondering about the electricity part, how do the power companies see such installations.

@stfn in the U.K. it’ll be unlikely they they will be expressly disallowed, unless there is a clause in your lease that says nothing can be attached to your balcony railings.

Getting it attached to the power though, that’s harder to do legally.
