I didn't mention there but I strongly believe that anything new the devs implement should have an optional toggle by default too.

Has nobody considered cropping based on user (or file) specification? It's not like html hadn't figured this out decades ago
It looks so much nicer than perfect squares. Breaks up the monotony a bit.

But can you use that to browse the app? I only ever logged in to build and maintain feeds, nothing else.
it's a lot rougher than using bsky and I am not sure it is made to be used like the app itself but you're able to post, like, RT, look at profiles, etc
Only thing I use it for is working on my Feeds, only things I'd like to see here are the image thing and the color themes (contrast is nicer).
We need more spaces that don't ask artists to mangle the composition of their paintings around (often) unclear cropping rules.
This has only ever made social media worse for everyone
Let's hope we can have it better here. Less aspect ratio math/code for the devs to maintain isn't a tall ask.
