I heard a zoomer say that millennials love tech because they experienced it before it was monetized. Before it became a worse and worse version of itself.

I'd say young melennials and older zoomers. Dial up internet for example sucked, so did paying for minutes on a phone. Having unlimited talk text and call is the norm now and is so much better than a decade ago. Tech has def become more monetized now but I would rather not go back to 2007
The joy and exploration of early tech was so fun. There are so many crazy early cell phones and digital cameras. Things were brightly colored see-through plastic. Nothing was subscription based. I miss it!
Like seriously, web search used to work. Reviews and recommendation in amazon were useful and fairly trustworthy.
Though ChatGPT can be pretty good, I find that when I ask it basic questions in something like python when I can't remember how to do something it answers better than a web search.
