I hope Craig Counsell watches the outpouring of love Uecker gets from the city of Milwaukee over the next several months and realizes what he threw away.

Do you think that Counsell could ever reach Uecker levels of love and affection? Bob Uecker seems to be a one of one. His sense of humor and personality were a perfect match for his time and place.
And I agree, Counsel effectively set his reputation on fire.
It’s not worth comparing them because Uecker is a 1 of 1, but I think Counsell had the potential to be that guy for the next generation of Brewers fans. He checks all the right boxes. Local kid, player, coach, World Series champion, lifelong fan ect.
