In my experience the author is well known within the herbalist community. I wish the concept was more widely recognized for sure. I’ve met many people who had the wrong impression about herbalism. There is chemistry involved so there are chemicals. research is important bc contraindications.

Hell yes. I guess I should have specified clients who were shocked plants had chemicals + thought they could take w any pharmaceutical w no risk of interactions. I highly respect folk herbalism. Practice for 8 years but pharmacognosy is so valuable. I hope there’s a resurgence of The Eclectics

The most powerful chemicals known are extracted from plants! And that's *after* those compounds have been isolated!
