The “Sullivan Review” is named after Alice Sullivan, an obsessive ‘gender critical’ transphobe & leader of anti-trans lobby group “Sex Matters”.
Another example of Labour continuing the “anti-woke” campaigning started by the Tories! 😖

This was Tory, Michelle Donnelan, appointing the leader of a transphobic hate group to write policy impacting trans people (with NO trans people involved!) 😖
And so it is.
The 'she who cannot be named and is no longer read' review.
Does he mean safety for trans people then?? Or does he mean keeping cisgender people safe from the scary transgender people?
If they wanted to increase safety they'd be working to provide decent healthcare instead of trying to exclude trans people from society.
But that explains why - from 2005 to 2021 - there were only 6,586 GRC applications.
Out of a population of 262,000 of us according to the 2021 census.
Make of that what you will.🤷

What this shows is that the vast majority of us found the GRC process to be not worth bothering with.
For a rather large number of reasons too.
Almost certainly many, many more who didn't.
I got my GRC this year, I suspect the application rate has gone up a lot, there was a 5 month turnaround.
But what’s a GRC worth if it offers no effective protection to having to out yourself as Trans on every form ?
It only benefitted you if:
1. You wanted to get married
2. Gave a shit what some entry in a dumb book stated your death as.
Personally I don't give a shit about either, so I join the other 255k who told them where to shove it.
My thoughts were, what does this matter? Given I was going for a hysteroscopy surely my being a "person with a uterus" would be the appropriate thing to know
"Female" or "woman" as a descriptive term doesn't mean you are a "uterus haver" or "person with a uterus" before you even get to trans people.
Either way it's a shitty gender-critical bigotry way to ask a question that they have no right for the answer to.😡
Organisations are just left defending things when they’re sued by transphobes, and even then it’s dependent on how quickly they’re likely to roll over and walk away.
Nobody is on the offensive.
We need a 'Mermaid's' for over 25's too, or something similar.
Obviously run by trans folk though.
mind, claiming it's to protect trans people is even more of a double-edged sword
It feels like we’ve gone back a generation.
On a good day, I can almost convince myself that it’s the dinosaurs’ last gasp.
