Musicians, don't forget that Spotify paid $250 million dollars for this last February while continuing to tank the average pay-per-stream for your music and podcasts.

I feel there’s a story there with a certain crowd on the right extremely concerned with WWIII. Like don’t get me wrong, I don’t want it either, but it kept coming up with key people on that side of spectrum and keeps coming up.
republicans loved the cold war and reagan scaring the shit out of the entire world. this is what dc & the kremlin have been longing for since 1991 because they can't parse any other meaning from the world other than an entire half of it should always be wanting to obliterate the other half
It's heartbreaking the amount of time, energy and love that goes into making a track, and yet even with 100k listens, you're barely making minimum wage. 😭
I walked away from Spotify long ago, not that it hurt Spotify in the least. All of those services seem like the new middlemen and they are completely unnecessary for the majority of music makers.
Same. I've been using YouTube Premium since YouTube Music comes with it free but I just found out that Google is profiting off of the genocide in Gaza and now I'm back at square one.
These companies seem to have no goal other than screwing musicians & destroying the world for profit.
I just checked a bunch of AIs. It looks like they are accessing different sources from one another. Of course, given these data are not published by the platforms themselves, they could all be wrong. Do you have access to any inside information?
This is why I now listen to music streaming exclusively on #Qobuz. They pay almost 10X more per stream than Spotify and have higher quality audio. (Not affiliated, just a music lover)
Watching Joe Rogan tackle complex issues is like watching a T. rex fix a circuit board. He did a 3-hour interview with Terrence Howard, the guy who thinks 1*1=2. His podcast is a window into a psych ward.
As a mostly non profitable musician/composer I feel hostage to Spotify.
I can leave and cut my streams by 75% and make nothing or I can stay and still make nothing. In the end I think we want others to appreciate the art we make.

Even when I was the odd one out, I have always bought albums and kept them on my phone, or streamed them from my home server.
I will admit I use YouTube music as part of premium, but I still prefer to buy artists record and own them.
If you put Rogan on Putin's shoulders and put a trench coat over the 2 of them, they still wouldn't pass for a normal sized adult.
Other than that, it does seem like the twitter bots are desperate to try get the world thinking it's Ukraine's fault.
How do these people fall for this stupid shit?! It's crazytown
Man. None of it is even secret.
What are you talking about.

My data doesn't reflect this

I might give it a shot myself, soon.
One thing that keeps me from switching is often a lacking library.
