My only criticism was that I was so gobsmacked by the cinematography, thinking - how did they do that? - That it almost (almost) distracted me from the story.
Yeah ep 3 had me wondering how they remembered all the lines, but after while it felt like such a natural conversation that I almost got the impression they were just using the script as a guide at that point
Just watched all four eps yesterday. Could not believe that was Owen Cooper’s first acting job. So riveting and heartbreaking. I had a headache from crying by the end.
I agree--it was the best thing I've watched in a long time. All episodes shot in one take??? The acting by everyone was amazing. Owen Cooper was brilliant throughout, but his work in that 3rd episode was masterful.
I am literally in the middle of watching it now, so I just saw you post , and the paranoid person in me thought “how does she know I am watching this?”
It was extremely good and very well cast. I was only troubled by the "blame the victim" spin. Incel attacks rarely have to do with anything the victim "did" to deserve what happened.
It very clearly blamed the murder on the murderer. The point was made that even if a girl teases you, that is not even close to justify physically hurting her.
The old adage: a man's greatest fear is being laughed at by a woman. A woman's greatest fear is being murdered by a man.
It's so intense, beautifully written and some of the best acting I've ever seen. To be fair, I love British dramas so Ive been impressed by these actors before.
Side note: Noticed Brad Pitt was an Exec. Producer. Had no idea.
I agree. I worked in mental health for 27 years and I was glued to every scene of this masterpiece, every pause, every facet of it. The acting didn't seem like acting. I may need to watch it again in case I missed even a second.

Have you watched Zero Day with Robert Dinero? On episode 3. So far it's brilliant.
It’s perfect, but also essential 😢
Because nowadays (for my own personal reasons) I can watch Matrix, Avengers and not much more…
