This goes for any creative field! Photography, art, acting, needlecrafts, etc etc.

💯 % that! Not every form of art should be extroverted performative for entertainment as one makes it. I mean, some are. A theatrical play, shoot if the actors can’t entertain they’re in the wrong field. But whatever I’m doing is an end-result. My Art is the entertainment, not me or my process.

There are gazillions of creatives out there. I can't afford to give $1.00 to every single one of them without going flat broke. I have to choose. So since I have to choose, what criteria do your recommend beyond "that talent I want to nurture because I love their work."

Each person has their own thoughts and reasons and emotions, so whatever helps you support an artist, let it guide you. Don't be surprised if an artist burns out with reward based systems and certainly dont abandon them if they need a break from it. Be kind
