Iβm very tangentially involved in our (BU and Harvard) efforts to archive data and am happy to connect you w/ the core team of folks working on this. Just let me know. A lot of what theyβre archiving is / will be preserved on https://dataverse.harvard.edu
This is great! Thank you. Will share with my networks. I know many in the demography space that are also scraping info, so hoping we can all support each other if needed.
Yes, please! Coordinating would be hugely helpful. Our team has focused more on environmental / climate data, and I'm sure we'd benefit from your colleagues in demography.
I grabbed some EPAData earlier today when I found out about this. If you are taking any of that Iβll be glad to get it to you. I just grabbed everything I could. I donβt know if any of it is worthwhile, though.
I downloaded all the death and birth files in Dec so I have those if you need them. At least most recent to 1999. I didn't get around to the linked or cohort files.
The entire Combating Racism Through Research, Training, Practice, and Public Health Policies toolkit is gone already. Have it saved. The scrub was fast.
I did see that effort. Very much appreciate them coordinating! I am downloading files/documentation I know I will use in next year and am happy to share with others.
From my understanding, we will be prioritizing website pages, not datasets tomorrow. DM me if you want the form to sign up or to recommend pages to preserve!
