It is “per worker” so the low population in northern BC and Alberta skews this. The US won’t stop buying oil so it might not be that bad. The big impact that I see coming is for the cost of food in the US, especially with the loss of their farm workers, and 25% ⬆️ from 🇨🇦 and 🇲🇽.
A surprising amount of packaged food in Trader Joe’s, which is one of the lower priced supermarkets around here, is prominently labeled “Made in Canada.”
