Please do not do unnecessary damage to our city. Tesla- fine, but no graffiti and broken windows in other part of the city. PLEASE. I have kids and live in a tough neighborhood where this happens a lot.

I emphasized in both the event page language, and the RSVP message, that this is a spontaneous and peaceful event. The goal is expressing our opposition to Musk, and educating ourselves and each other about his negative impact and how best to fight back. If you want to engage in violence, stay away!

I recognize that elected Democrats only have so many tools at their disposal to resist the awful things happening in this country right now, which is why it's so important for them to help direct people toward meaningful action like this and not just send more fundraising emails. I also really want to echo the Internet Hippo's extremely important point here: taking down Tesla and Elon Musk's mythology is about not being a sucker first, and broader political goals second. Before we do anything else, we have to shake off a decade of lies and scams.
