Autonomy is not ready and especially Tesla's approach will never be safe. It is solely using RGB cameras and can easily be degraded. It's quite possibly the dumbest fucking lie pushed by techbros since crypto and AGI.

I remember “autopilot will be ready next year” being a thing every year since 2017. By 2018, it had become apparent to me that something about wasn’t entirely “kosher”, let’s just say. They’re still waiting on that vaporware roadster with $200k deposits, too.

Funny they only use visual navigation (like we see).

Visual with LiDAR (reflected light) would be much better say in white out snow or smoke.
